While the easiest way to upload a video is to use the camera built into the Collaborative Coach platform, you also have the option of recording a video on your device and uploading your video to the Collaborative Coach app. You may want to do this if you are recording yourself or students in the classroom.
If you are recording yourself teaching, please only show the backs of students heads or angle the camera so it only shows you. Student faces are NOT allowed to be shown. If you would like to model a routine without students, consider the use of a whiteboard, marker, and other materials you typically use when teaching.
“Your video submission will be used solely to assess your [Program/Framework] Certification and will not be shared outside of the [Program/Framework] Certification course. This use is in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), as the video is used for educational purposes directly related to your certification. For any student information that may be present, we adhere to Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) guidelines by requiring that institutions obtain necessary parental consent for students under 13 whose likeness or information might be captured. Please review and adhere to your organization, school, or district’s policies regarding video release permissions, including any required parental consents, before submitting your video.”
